In this way, smart speakers and home devices have made a place in our lifestyle, who have answers to every question and with their help, we can control the smart devices installed in the home. Now it has been revealed that these smart speakers can also be hacked and almost all the details related to you can be stolen. According to new research, it can be done only with the help of a laser.

Research by the University of Michigan and the University of Electro-Communications has been published under the name ‘Light Commands: Laser-Based Audio Injection Attacks on Voice-Controllable Systems’. Researchers say that commands can be given remotely to iPhone, Siri, Alexa, Facebook Portal, and Google Home Devices without saying anything and without appearing. With the help of laser, these devices can be tasked by giving commands such as locking, unlocking, starting vehicles, unlocking doors or accessing websites.

Such beams can go near the glass and the user’s device can be hacked by giving commands from a distance. Researchers said that this attack can be done by taking advantage of a flaw in the microphone. Which takes the help of micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS). Any device using this system can be hacked with a laser.
